elected by Healthy Keys, LLC as one of the Black Women being highlighted for Women's History Month. To those who know me in real life, I actually hate talking about myself as I spend so much of my time focusing on others. But since we are here, let me tell you a few things about myself."
From rural Barbour County, Alabama, I am absolutely a country girl. I identify as a cat loving, book nerd, and avid Harry Potter fan. I have a quirky sense of humor, I love art, and I love learning about the exciting world of crypto and metaverse. I have been working in some form of behavioral health for more than a decade. I got my start as a Group Counselor at Pathway, Inc., a residential facility for at-risk girls. Each of the young ladies there had their own unique story and tale that led them to that place. It is there that I developed an insatiable curiosity for other people's stories. We are all more than the circumstances that bring us to our darkest hours or lowest points. We all need some form of guidance whether it be spiritual or emotional guidance. From Pathway, Inc., I transitioned to child welfare as a foster care worker. It was here tha
t I furthered my understanding that some patterns are generational but together we can interrupt the existing pattern and forge a new path. Seeing humans at their absolute lowest points go on to triumph and regain control strengthened my faith in the resiliency of the human spirit.
Every step I have taken since then has been running towards finding others and helping them identify how they can strengthen their own resiliency. It was with this spirit and desire to serve, that Envision Coaching & Consulting LLC was born. I wanted to provide coaching solutions that did not focus on pathology, diagnosis, or medications. Instead, I wanted to serve others by helping them become unstuck in the patterns and thoughts that keep them stagnate and afraid to
blossom. Currently, I offer paid services such as Targeted Stress Management Coaching for youth and adults; Career Exploration for youth and young adults ages 14-23; and personal coaching for any age group. I also offer a free service- my weekly blog on my website in which different topics are explored along the wellness continuum. I am also an ordained minister certified to officiate weddings and am a registered Notary Public.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and a Master's of Science in Counseling & Psychology both awarded by Troy University. I hold certifications from the National Board of Certified Counselors, Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, and New Skills Academy in Life Coaching. In March 2022, I also completed a coaching program through Better Up.
