Routines, Yes I Need One




Why do I need a routine? What is the purpose of a routine? Are routines really necessary? These are just a few questions one may ask.


Let’s start with what exactly is a routine. A routine is like a schedule. A routine is a customary or regular course of procedure. Routines help you with behaviors for daily life. Routines can be intentional or automatic.


There are several types of routines. Some of the most common types of routine would include the following:

  • Morning Routine

  • Afternoon Routine

  • Night or Bedtime Routine

  • Daily Routine

  • Cleaning Routine

  • Gratitude Routine

  • Skin Care Routine

  • Self Care Routine

What is the importance and benefits of having a routine? You may wonder. There are several important reasons to create and stick to a routine. Routines can help reduce stress. A routine can help decrease anxiety. The use of routines can help improve mental health and emotional health. It can help you to have time to relax. Routines can help you stay on track mentally and physically. Routines help you to organize overwhelming everyday tasks in a pattern to accomplish them easier. Routines help to create structure, regular habits, support cognitive function, helps improve creativity, supports focus, and helps you create your success.Routines helps you to stay on top of and achieve your goals. Routines help you to stay grounded. Being grounded means being well stable and sensible. Creating a routine helps you to be more efficient and reduces the need to plan. It helps you to become more proficient. When you create a routine it helps you to prioritize. It helps you with your determination and willpower. Reduces the need to procrastinate. It builds your momentum and your confidence. It can also help you to save money.


I currently have several routines that I use almost daily. My favorite routines would be my skin care routine and my self care routine.
