Tips to Sticking with Your Routine






We won’t hold you long today. On April 30 we brought the month of May in with our blog Routines, Yes I need one. And on May 7 we followed up with our blog Creating Routines. On May 21 our blog was Why I Can’t Stick with Routines. Now today we are following up with Tips to Sticking with Your Routine.

We all know that it takes work to try new things and to stick with it. We don't want you to give up on your routines so we want to give you a list of tips to encourage you to continue and stick with it.

  1. Make sure you are doing it for you and nobody else. This routine is all about you, your wants, and your needs.

  2. Remember that your routine is an investment into you.

  3. Remember your intentions for this routine. Always keep your why in your mind.

  4. Also keep your goals in mind. Put forth that extra effort to achieve your goals.

  5. Start Naturally. Don't force it.

  6. Make sure we are starting small.

  7. Be Prepared.

  8. Stay Consistent.

  9. Be accountable.

  10. Watch your thoughts. Stay positive.

  11. Build in cushion time.

  12. Try to limit distractions.

  13. Have a way to manage your routine and track your progress.

  14. Depending on the routine, get you an accountability partner.

  15. Remember to be your biggest cheerleader and reward yourself for your progress.

  16. Also remember if your routine is not working for you and it's overwhelming then tweak it. Do be afraid to make it smaller.

  17. Make sure you are having fun and enjoying your routine.

  18. Let your routine work for you.
